Chandigarh Congress Minority Department Organizes Special Meeting to Condemn Terrorism and Stand in Solidarity with Victims of Pahalgam Attack

Chandigarh, May 03, 2025:-The Minority Department of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee organized a significant meeting today at the Rajiv Gandhi Congress Bhawan, Sector 35, Chandigarh. The meeting was convened under the leadership  of  H. s Lucky, President of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee.

In a solemn and unified gathering, party workers, minority community leaders, and office bearers from across the city came together to express their deepest condolences and outrage over the recent killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The attendees paid tribute to the victims and their families and offered prayers for peace and justice.

During the session, H.S. Lucky administered a pledge against terrorism, urging all members to stand united in condemning acts of violence and hatred. The pledge included a strong commitment to uphold the values of secularism, peace, and national unity.

In his address,  H.S. Lucky strongly condemned the barbaric attack and expressed full support to the Indian government in its efforts to combat terrorism and maintain national security. He stated:

The horrific attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam is not just an act of terror—it is an attack on the conscience of every Indian. As citizens and as Congress workers, we stand resolutely against all forms of terrorism. We express our solidarity with the families of the victims and with every peace-loving citizen of our nation. The Congress Party has always upheld the ideals of non-violence, harmony, and justice, and we will continue to support every initiative that ensures the safety and unity of our country.

The Minority Department also passed a resolution expressing deep sorrow and demanding swift action against the perpetrators of the heinous crime. The gathering reaffirmed the Congress Party's commitment to fighting communal forces and protecting the integrity of India.

The meeting concluded with chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and a call for communal harmony across all sections of society. Prominent among those present included Saleem Bhatti , Ahmed Ali , Sadiq Muhammad, zahid parvez khan among others.
