Mohali, Jan.28, 2025:-The Chairman of the National Netball Development Committee, Hari Om Kaushik, inaugurated the newly constructed netball ground at Gian Jyoti Model School, Phase 2, Mohali, in a grand ceremony. On this momentous occasion, Hari om Kaushik proudly announced that the prestigious 2025 National Netball Championships will be hosted by Gian Jyoti Global School. Renowned for his unwavering dedication to advancing netball in India, Hari om Kaushik commended the school for its visionary step in creating world-class sports infrastructure, setting a benchmark for excellence in sports development.
The event was graced by several prominent dignitaries, including Vijender Singh Dahiya, General Secretary of the Netball Federation of India, and Arjuna Awardee S P Jagjit Singh, both of whom praised the school's significant contribution to promoting sports at the grassroots level.
J.S. Bedi, Chairman of Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions, emphasized the institution's mission to empower students by seamlessly integrating academic excellence with sportsmanship. He highlighted the critical role of sports in building character and leadership qualities among students. A detailed discussion regarding the preparation for the 2025 National Netball Championships was conducted under the guidance of Advocate Karan Avtar Kapil, General Secretary of the Netball Association of Punjab. He shared that the finalized event plan will soon be circulated to sports ministries, state sports departments, and all Affiliated teams to ensure seamless coordination.
