Mohali, Nov. 01, 2024:-Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School celebrated Diwali with a sensational Diwali Gala. Instead of exploding the noisy crackers the students of the school decorated earthen wares and candles and colourful rangolies at the campus. The air was vibrating with the laughter of the children. Students participated in various green activities. Later, students also shared their views on a clean and green Diwali at the moment. Students also took rally in Badala and kharar to make residents aware of green and clean Diwali .The students also informed residents about ill effects of the crackers .
School Principal Veena Malhotra of the school stated that these events help build the attributes of team spirit and the spirit of camaraderie among the children. She further motivate students to use earthen lamps rather than electric bulbs and Distribute useful things like clothes, books, eatables to less fortunate people than fire the crackers then this can be turn out to be brighter Diwali and more meaningful one. At the end the programme was concluded while taking pledge to not to burn the fireworks.
