Pledge Taking Lamp Lighting Ceremony, Held at NINE, PGIMER

Chandigarh 30^th March, 2022:- Florence Nightingale Pledge taking and Lamp lighting ceremony of 50^th batch of B.Sc Nursing (4 years course) 1^st Year students of National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh was held on 30^th March, 2022.  This ceremony is held before the induction of students to clinical areas. Dr. Karobi Das, Officiating Principal, NINE welcomed the Chief Guest, Prof. Vipin Koushal, Medical Superintendent-cum-Head, Department of Hospital Administration, PGIMER, Chandigarh.

The Chief Guest highlighted the crucial role of nurses in patient care and asked them to be compassionate and empathetic while working with the patients.  The event concluded with lamp lighting and an oath taking ceremony by the students which was conducted by Dr. Sunita Sharma, Student Nursing Association, Advisor. Dr. Monika Dutta, B.Sc. Nursing (1^st Year) Co-coordinator and her team of teachers along with SNA executives (students of B.Sc 3^rd year) organized the Programme.
