Chandigarh Oct. 12, 2021:-Subhash Chawla President and H S Lucky General Secretary of Chandigarh Congress today lambasted the chandigarh administration and health department for failing to control the outbreak of Dengue in the city. They said that the number of Dengue patients is increasing every day and the health department is sitting and letting people suffer. The residents of the city are already suffering due to covid and its mishandling by the department and further spread of Dengue has caused lot of fear amongst chandigarh residents. They demanded Immediate detection of Dengue larva and steps to check its spread. Moreover fogging should be done in every part of the city to keep mosquitoes and insects under check added Congress leaders. They also demanded that responsibility should be fixed of persons who have failed to perform their duty . They requested the Administator Chandigarh Banwari lal purohit to issue directions to the senior officers of the health department to go in the field rather than sitting and taking meetings in air conditioned rooms. The department should carry out an awareness campaign to educate the residents to check the spread of Dengue added Chawla and Lucky.
