32nd National Road Safety Week observed at Desh Bhagat University

Chandigarh Feb 22, 2021:- 32nd National Road safety week was observed from 9th Feb to 18th Feb by Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences and IEEE student branch at Desh Bhagat University.

During the week various awareness programmes covering various topics comprising of See me Save Me- Making Cycles Visible on Roads, School Bus Safety, Making India a black spot free nation, Respect red Light, were organized

In this program, Chief guest Harpreet Singh Director, Global Alliance of NGOs for road safety addressed the students. An interactive session on the topic "Road Traffic Safety: The Biggest challenge for India's youth" was delivered by Harpreet Singh during Inauguration.

Dr. D.M Mulay , Member of National Human Rights Commission congratulated the organizing  team of Desh Bhagat University for spreading awareness on road safety.

Chancellor DBU, Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor DBU, Dr. Tejinder Kaur laid stress on following road safety rules. They said that we all should build a new culture of road safety and security which is the responsibility of all of us and also give everyone a safe life.

On this occasion, Dr. Virinder Singh Advisor to Chancellor, Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Inderpreet Kaur, Dean Academics Affairs /Director of Engineering, Desh Bhagat University shared views related to road safety and sensitized youth to follow the road safety rules.
