Chandigarh Sept. 24, 2020:- On World Pharmacist Day to salute the dedication of Pharmacists for their contribution, the Placebo Club and School of Pharmacy of Desh Bhagat University organized E-Poster competition on the theme ,"Transforming Global Health. The objective of the competition was to create awareness among students about importance of the day and to highlight the role of Pharmacist in our life .More than 200 students participated in the event.
The competition was inaugurated digitally by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and welcome address given by Prof. B. D. Dhiman, Principal, School of Pharmacy and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Principal, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that Pharmacists all over the world are working relentlessly to stop the spread of the COVID-19, and to ensure we continue to have access to medicines we need even during these though times. The celebration of this day is a way to extend our gratitude towards Pharmacists.
Dr. Puja Gulati, HOD, School of Pharmacy, thanked everyone for their contribution . E-certificates were awarded to the winners.
