Chandigarh Sept. 30, 2020:- A Three Day National Online Workshop was organised by the Department of Fine Arts of Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh from September 28 to 30 with the objective of engaging students restricted at home due to the pandemic in creative pursuits for skill enhancement. This workshop was organized in collaboration with Fevicryl (Pidilite Industries). Ms. Sonali Kaith Sen, a Fevicryl Certified Professional was the resource person for the event. The workshop comprised of three sessions and was attended by 92 enthusiastic participants from different parts of the country such as Chamba, Kullu, Paonta Sahib, Dehradun, Vishakapatnam, Manimajra, Zirakpur, Panchkula, Baltana, and Chandigarh. The participants were from all age groups. The youngest were seven years old Sanvideep, a student of Class II and nine years old Sonakshi studying from Class IV. Ms. Pratima Tayal, 51, from Muzaffarnagar also participated and showed her creativity. The participants learnt about different methods to decorate masks in a creative way and techniques of the Decoupage and mixed media.
Dr. Jatinder Kaur, principal of the college applauded the efforts shown by the organising committee of the workshop and the participants for showing so much enthusiasm and zeal to learn and enhance their creativity skills.
