Chandigarh Sept. 29, 2020:- Desh Bhagat University celebrated 113th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. The Shaheed Bhagat Singh's statue which is situated in the college premises was decorated with flowers .
Dr. Varinder Singh, Advisor to the Chancellor, informed about his life story, his roles and contributions in India's freedom struggle and how the younger generation can serve the country.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor Desh Bhagat University and Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur paid their obeisance to the warrior and said that he at a very small age of 11-12 yrs after seeing the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, had great determination for his country. Our younger generation should take lessons from his life.
They added that the sacrifice of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country can never be forgotten.
Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor Desh Bhagat University and directors of various schools paid reverence to the great warrior.
