Chandigarh September 14, 2020:- With a view to promote planting of herbal and immunity boosting plants especially during this pandemic COVID -19, Dr. G. Dewan, Director Health Services cum Family Welfare, Chandigarh Administration inaugurated a kitchen garden today during the celebrations of "POSHAN MAAH -2020".
The plantation drive – "Paudhe se poshan" was conducted by Dietetics Department, GMSH-16, Chandigarh in association with Ayush , Indian Dietetic Association and Netprofan Chandigarh Chapter in the hospital premises.
Several herbs and shrubs like Tulsi leaves, Mint leaves, Ajwain, Radiana Stevia, Giloy, Lemon grass and Aloe Vera were planted by Dr. V.K Nagpal.
Among those present on the occasion included the Medical Superintendent and other professionals from diet and nutrition community.
