Chandigarh July 01, 2020:-Desh Bhagat University celebrated Doctor's Day at Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital. The day was celebrated with a cake cutting ceremony and an expert lecture by Vice Principal Dr. Sanjeev Soni on the duties and moral values of doctors, he told to follow a disciplinary life, use all precautionary measures and maintain hygiene to stay safe during these tough times of pandemic COVID-19. More than 2360 students were connected online and showcased their creativity in making mask at home. In the end Masks and Sanitizers were distributed among staff members.
Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh, said "World is facing COVID-19 pandemic and it's the undaunting services of doctors and healthcare professionals who made us able to tackle the effects of this viral infection"
Pro Chancellor ,Dr. Tejinder Kaur saluted the exceptional efforts of doctors and said that everyone should recognize the contribution of doctors and take lessons about humanity and kindness with which they serve us.
Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor DBU congratulated the staff and students and said that doctors are special people and considered as the second God on earth. Our Health line workers work in close proximity with patients and are in grave danger of being infected themselves, but their selflessness and dedication are helping us fight this pandemic and they are real-life heroes, we must celebrate the day to honor them.
