Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital Celebrated National Doctors Day

Chandigarh July 02, 2020:-Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College and Hospital celebrated National Doctors day by organising a Webinar for Medical Fraternity to understand the challenges being faced by them during pandemic COVID-19 and looking at the best possible solutions. The speaker of the webinar was Dr. Rakesh Pandit, Rashtriya  Sachiv Arogya Bharati , Member Board of Governor National Commission ISM. He shared the role of Ayush, and said the AYUSH system of medicines give focus on prevention through lifestyle modifications, dietary management, prophylactic interventions for improving immunity and simple remedies based on presentation of the symptoms. The best way of preventing COVID-19 infection is breaking the chain, enhancing an individual's body immunity, identifying the infection early and timely medical care.

Dr.Baljit Singh, CMO, Desh Bhagat Hospital, discussed the challenges faced by the Doctors during COVID –19. He emphasised about the protection of frontline workers from infection.

The Power of Immunity was discussed by Dr. Satya Pandey, Principal, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College & Hospital 

Dr. Kulbushan Vashisht, Registrar, DBU, said Ayurveda  is committed to help the nation with the large resource of time-tested traditional knowledge practiced in this continent for the benefit of mankind. Ayurveda and practices of yoga to enhance immunity and body's defence mechanism is the need of the hour in today's ongoing Covid –19 Pandemic.

Dr.Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University said that Doctor's Day' to commemorate doctors for their services, this day , gives the people an opportunity to express their gratitude towards Medicos. This is an ideal day for us to pay tribute to the doctors and appreciate their ability to comfort and heal.

The celebration of National Doctor's Day is a humble gesture from our end to thank the fraternity for their relentless services to the community.
