Chandigarh, April 7, 2020:- ITBP ex- Commandant Mohinder Singh along with his wife Ardaman Kaur has contributed Rs. 5-lakh to 'Punjab CM Relief Fund Covid-19' from his pension amount . Singh (76) is also a renowned climber and mountaineer award winner and a Leader of Mt. Everest 96 campaign.
He handed over Rs. 5-lakh DD to cabinet minister, Bharat Bhushan Ashu at his Ludhiana office .
While stressing upon the need to combat the virus unitedly, Mohinder Singh said that he encountered many dangerous life threatening situations during his mountaineering campaigns. He urged situations during his mountaineering campaigns. He urged general public to follow lock-down guidelines and stay at home to check the spread of virus.
Mohinder Singh has also authored a book 'Everest 1996' which is published in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
