Jalandhar 10th November:- In the past few months, United Sikhs team has been helping the farmers of Panjab battling with the after-effects of 2019 floods. Their volunteers have surveyed and personally visited the most flood-affected places of Panjab in the Districts of Kapurthala, Ropar, Jallandhar and Ferozpur. It is found that the crops of the farmers are totally damaged, leaving them helpless and in a destitute situation as all their hardwork has drained in the flood water and they are unable to pay off their loans. They are in urgent need of seeds and fertilizers for the cultivation of wheat in the coming days.
Taking the responsibility of saving the Farmers of Panjab, United Sikhs, under their project, "RAHAT" distributed fertilizers to the needy farmers of Village Maharajwala, Tehsil Shahkot, and District Jallandhar. The distributed fertilizers would benefit 10,000 acres of land.
The event saw the presence of Guest of Honor, S. Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi and United Sikhs Director S. Jasmeet Singh who shared the road map and action strategy of United Sikhs for helping the farmers and rebuilding Panjab.
