Chandigarh 23rd September:- To make this earth Clean and Green, Tree Plantation is necessary, only then the coming generations will be able to enjoy the beauty of this nature and make this world pollution free. Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji too quoted that pollution whether inside or outside is harmful. So, it must be removed from the mind as well as the environment. Taking a step further, under the guidance of Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, Nirankari devotees participated in the Green City Drive launched by Times of India, Hero Group and planted around 20000 saplings of plants in Forest Herbal Park earmarked at Peer Muchalla, Zirakpur today.
On this occasion Chandigarh Zonal Incharge K. K. Kashyap said that Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation with the support of Times of India Group, Hero Group, tree plantation was organized in Forest Herbal Park. Around 2000 Sewadal devotees of 15 branches of Chandigarh Zone participated in this drive of tree plantation.
K K Kashyap said that the principal commitment of the Sant Nirankari Mission has always been to improve the man's quality of life through spiritual enlightenment or God-knowledge. It has, however, been conscious of its responsibility towards social welfare, like other citizens of the country. Apart from various other activities, the Mission started organizing Tree Plantation Drives along with cleanliness throughout the country from 2003 as a part of Baba Hardev Singh Ji's Birthday Celebration on February 23, every year.
He further said that this Green City Drive will also be organized in Delhi tomorrow, sponsored by the Municipal Corporation. In Delhi, it is actively supporting the Times of India campaign with 10,000 volunteers on Sunday. Similar cooperation will be given in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and later in Gurugram on October 1.
Punjab Pollution Control Board, Chairman K.S. Pannu said that there is dare need to increase the forest area, which is comparatively low as much is required. He thanked Nirankari Mission for their entire support.
Conservator of Forests, Charchil Kumar, IFS said that he is astonished to see the excitement of the devotees towards their mother earth, that inspite of heavy rainfall they have planted saplings with great enthusiasm.
Director of Hero Company, Dhannjaye said that Nirankari Mission devotees are really praiseworthy for their love for the environment.
Zonal Incharge K. K. Kashyap thanked Times of India team, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Chairman K. S. Pannu, Conservator of Forests, Charchil Kumar, IFS, Director of Hero Company, Dhannjaye, all Sanyojaks, Mukhis, Khetriya Sanchalaks, Sanchalaks and Sewadal volunteers from all branches for their entire support for making tree plantation, a successful event.
