Chandigarh 05th June:- State Bank of India organized series of functions to celebrate World Environment Day. Badal Chandra Das, Dy. Managing Director alongwith D.V Suresh Kumar, CGM, R. Arumuga Pandi, CGM, and Anil Kishora, CGM, Chandigarh Circle planted saplings at the premises of Local Head Office, Chandigarh to mark the World Environment Day.
Earlier in the day, Sanjay Kumar, General Manager alongwith Arun Grover, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University planted saplings at Mini Rose Garden, Panjab University. As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, D.V Suresh Kumar also presented to the University two solar lights for installation in the Mini Rose Garden.
In another event to increase awareness to promote environment protection amongst people of Chandigarh, State Bank of India distributed LED bulbs to general public at Elante Mall, Chandigarh, as co-sponsor of the event with Chandigarh Administration.
