Honda Organizes Women’s Safety Riding Day

Chandigarh 06th May:-  Saluting the spirit of womanhood, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI), today organized 'Women's Safety Riding Day' amid much fan-fare at its Children's Traffic Park at Sector-23 A, in Chandigarh. Committed to the cause of women-empowerment, Honda marked the occasion by conducting road-safety awareness and safe-riding training for women across age-groups; enabling them to achieve independence of mobility.

The activities were initiated in the august presence of  A.S. Cheema- IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Chandigarh, B. Purushartha Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh and  Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.; besides other prominent dignitaries from Chandigarh Police and Honda 2Wheelers India.

Speaking on the occasion, Yadvinder Singh Guleria Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. Said that it is our belief that strong and independent women form the foundation of any successful society. Nothing makes you feel more independent than the freedom of mobility. On this occasion, we salute the spirit of womanhood and pledge Honda's complete support to the cause of Women Empowerment. Our exclusive women-safety riding instructors have imparted this training to more than 15000 women across India. We congratulate each one-of them and are confident that they will inspire more and more women to realize the Power of their Dreams by learning two-wheeler riding.

Women, who participated in this event were presented with Certificate of completion by senior Chandigarh Police & Honda officials. The Children Traffic-Training Park is operated by Honda's Safety Team in association with the Chandigarh Traffic Police. Since its inauguration last year, Honda's skilled safety instructors have educated more than 27,000 people on road safety at the Children Traffic Park.
