Drashti’s Fiery Jhansi Ki Rani Style Combat

By 121 News

Chandigarh 01st May:- The gorgeous Drashti Dhami from Zee TV's immensely popular period drama 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' has impressed her fans with her flawless performance as Gayatri. She entered as the dreamy eyed girl next door, later emerged as a queen in the show, but now as her track comes to an end with the death of her character in a fiery mortal combat, she is all geared up to amaze her ardent fans with her new warrior look as Jhansi Ki Rani.

With betrayal, death and revelations galore, the past one week has been action-packed on Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani and in the upcoming episodes Gayatri who is learning martial arts, getting trained in horse riding, sword fighting for her biggest fight with the evil Kaal (played by Chetan Hansraj) and Badi Rani Maa (played by Surekha Sikri) will be seen stepping out in disguise, blending with the warriors as Jhansi Ki Rani to save her kingdom and avenge the assassination of her husband Rana ji (played by Siddhant Karnick).

Drashti said that she is kicked that her parting shot on Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is a fiery one. The scene has her engaging in a mortal combat with the ferocious Kaal and it is a fight to the finish. While she succumbs eventually, Gayatri gives Kaal a run for his money with her persistence, grit and valor. She is in a do-or-die zone, locking horns with the enemy with her child on her back. The visual is very reminiscent of Jhansi Ki Rani. Needless to say, it was a task to manage the fight scene with a child on her back. She had to be extremely careful during this scene. It was difficult, but she loved doing it. As an actor, she tries to do varied roles such that audiences get a flavor of different aspects of her personality as an artiste. In this role of Gayatri, she have had the opportunity to enact a number of interesting avatars – One of a girl next door to a queen to a dusky village belle and now a passionate warrior. She hope viewers will like this avatar too.
