HPGCL organizes 4th Inter Plant Conference

Chandigarh 01st February:-  Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd. organized its 4th Inter Plant Conference at Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Station, Yamunanagar on the theme "Reliability Improvement of Chinese make Thermal Power Stations operating in India".

The conference was inaugurated by M.K.V. Rama Rao, Managing Director, HPGCL and also attended by Directors of HPGCL. On this occasion Chief Engineer, DCRTPP said that the conference aims to bring various power utilities operating Chinese thermal plants in India, on a common platform to discuss & share O&M issues & their remedies.

The conference was attended by various eminent power sector experts from the power stations such as JSW Ratnagiri, JSW Vijaynagar, CLP Jhajjar, NTPC, Reliance, Lucky Power Asia, Hongkong, Shanghai Electric China (SEC, China) etc. The experts delivered enlightening presentations on the theme and shared their valuable experience with HPGCL Engineers & other delegates. HPGCL Engineers from thermal power station at Hisar and Corporate Office, Panchkula also participated in the conference and shared their Operation and Maintenance experiences through technical presentations on the inaugural day. The interactive sessions with the delegates after each presentation proved to be very fruitful and enhanced the knowledge of the HPGCL Engineers regarding best industry practices.

While inaugurating the conference MD, HPGCL congratulated team, DCRTPP for organizing the conference. He emphasized on improving the reliability & efficiency of the power stations of HPGCL and to bring down cost of generation. He further added that this conference shall pave the way for creating a culture of learning and knowledge sharing in HPGCL, leading to improvement in technical competence of engineers. He said that the manpower of HPGCL is its biggest asset and such conferences shall enrich it further. He encouraged HPGCL engineers to come up with innovative ideas for improving the performance of the power stations.
