Chandigarh 15th February:- The Govt. of India today awarded Swachh City Award to Municipal Corporation Chandigarh for achieving 2nd rank and being best performing city in North Zone and Citizen feedback category during the Swachh Survekshan conducted in January 2016 under the Swachh Bharat Mission by Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India.
The award was today received by Arun Sood, Mayor, B. Purushartha, Commissioner and Rajiv Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh in New Delhi from M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Urban Development.
