Chandigarh 18th January:- The meeting of District Electricity Committee (DEC) on Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for strengthening of sub-transmission, distribution network and meters in UT Chandigarh and the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Pilot project under National Smart Grid Mission (NSGM) was held on 18.1.2016 under the Chairmanship of Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, UT Chandigarh. Sarvjit Singh, Secretary Engineering cum Finance Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, B. Purushartha, Commissioner, MC Chandigarh, Ajit Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, UT Chandigarh, Arun Sood, Mayor, MC Chandigarh, Mukesh Anand, Chief Engineer, UT Chandigarh and M.P.Singh, S.E.,Electy. 'OP' Circle, UT Chandigarh also attended the meeting.
After detailed deliberation, the District Electricity Committee (DEC) recommended the IPDS DPR amounting to Rs 201.58 Crores and Smart Grid DPR amounting to Rs 49.52 Crores for submission to M/s Power Financial Corporation and M/s Power Grid Corporation Ltd respectively being Nodal Agencies for respective projects and for further consideration and approval by Ministry of Power, Govt of India.
