Administration Directed Religious Institutions to Maintain Register for Record of Marriages

Chandigarh 18^th November:-Chandigarh Administration has directed all religious Institutions, Mandirs, Gurudwaras, Churches, Mosques, Marriage Palaces, Hotels and priests etc. solemnizing marriages situated in U.T, Chandigarh,to maintain register having record of marriages solemnized by them within their premises.   They shall place a display board for such marriages to be registered compulsory with office of Registrar of Marriages, under Chandigarh Compulsory Registration of Marriage Rules 2012 within 90 days of their solemnization.

All such Religious Institutions, Mandirs, Gurudwaras, Churches, Mosques, Marriage Palaces, Hotels and priests etc. should register themselves with office of Registrar of Marriages within fifteen days and they shall submit a monthly report of all such marriages solemnized by them to the office of Registrar of Marriages.
