Ludhiana14th October:- Chandigarh unit of Joint Forum of Medical Technologists of India in association with Students of B.Sc. Medical Technology organized a Blood donation camp in Zakir Hall of PGIMER, Chandigarh to mark NIPS Foundation day as an event of social cause. About 100 Voluntary blood donors were given certificates of participation and a gift as memento from the Association. Dr. A.Rajwanshi, Professor Incharge NIPS, the Chief Guest along with AGM, State Bank of India, Med. Institute, inaugurated the camp. Presidents of participating Associations were invited as Guests of honor.
According to Mr.K.S.Sehrawat, Gen. Secretary, Joint Forum of Medical Technologists of India (JFMTI) unit, Chandigarh, celebration of NIPS FOUNDATION DAY, was to mark the importance of Medical Technology as a key to modern Medicine, by Voluntary Blood Donation and encourage more people to join this noble profession. The purpose is not to attract a big influx of blood donors on this day; rather, it is designed to pay heartfelt tributes to the founders of Med. Technology in PGI, Chandigarh. He hopes for new generation of Med. Technologists to follow the trend of selfless service, whenever it is needed to save a life JFMTI, State unit, Chandigarh, regularly organize an Annual Blood Donation Camp, on this day.
