Prime Minister Inaugurates General Self Financing Housing Scheme:

Ludhiana 11th September:- The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi today inaugurated, the Sector 63 Housing Complex of the Chandigarh Housing Board and electronically unveiled the Plaque "General Self Financing Housing Scheme Sector 63, Chandigarh. It was  inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi  In the presence of Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Governor of Punjab & Haryana and Administrator of UT of Chandigarh Smt. Kirron Kher,  Member of Parliament, Chandigarh at the Sector 25 Rally Ground, Chandigarh. 

Prime Minister was felicitated by the Ex-servicemen on the Dais at the venue at the Rally Ground Sector 25, Chandigarh, Manohar Lal, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana delivered the welcome address, Shri Parkash Singh Badal, and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Punjab also addressed the meeting. The vote of thanks was given by Vijay Dev, Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh.

To provide smart services to its allottees and to provide them services at their fingertips, the Hon'ble Prime Minister, launched the mobile app services and the citizen friendly website of Chandigarh Housing Board. The inclusion of services on the mobile app is the first of its kind initiative taken by a Housing Board in the whole country. This app will provide all the services related to Chandigarh Housing Board and will be regularly updated.  This citizen friendly website of the Chandigarh Housing Board will be very useful for all the citizens of Chandigarh, the Hon'ble Prime Minister lauded these initiatives of Chandigarh Housing Board and described them as an empowerment of the citizens of Chandigarh. This app and website portal of Chandigarh Housing Board, launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister, will serve and provide all e-services.

After inaugurating the Sector 63 Housing Complex of the Chandigarh Housing Board, the Prime Minister, in his address described the scheme as laudable and stated that it was a part of his vision for 'Housing For All 2022" by the year 2022.  Prime Minister, while launching the mobile app services and the citizen friendly website of Chandigarh Housing Board, has also praised the steps taken towards his vision for 'Digital India' and said that every department needs to contribute towards the vision of 'Digital India'.  

Narendra Modi while addressing the public meeting said that government always needs the support of the public for the efforts that they are undertaking. Chandigarh has now entered in the race of smart city and the citizens of Chandigarh along with the Administration must ensure that they make the city beautiful a smart city. He added that the dream of Digital India must be fulfilled together.
