Universal Group of Institutes Students Made Rotten Apple Detector Machine

Chandigarh 22nd July:- The final year students of Mechanical Department of Universal Group of Institutes made Rotten Apple detector machine. The purpose of this machine is to detect green & rotten apples out of the red apples. Rotten apples can be discarded by putting them simultaneously in the machine. The System is controlled by Microprocessor. The Conveyor system is used for the movement of apples. Colour Sensors are used to detect the colour of the apple weather it is green or red. Using this machine, the Red apple will proceed further and green and rotten apple will be rejected and separated from the Conveyor system by robotic arm. This is completely automatic line, very useful for quality purposes.

While speaking at the moment Chairman Dr. Gurpreet Singh said that Detecting rotten fruit is tricky, as interior decay is not visible to the naked eye. This machine can be useful for industrialist  as  decayed  Fruit is  one of the main causes of lost profits in the industry .Which  means that after  detecting infected fruits as soon as possible and removing them from the rest of the pack was crucial.
