Exams-Days: Appeal to General Public for not to use Loudspeakers & other offending noise producing gadgets: Sidhu

Mohali 05th February:- To maintain law & order for fair conduct of examination in the district, Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu appealed the general public to not to use the loudspeakers,noise producing vehicles & other gadgets which produces offending noise. While appealing Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that the appeal for prohibition on use of music systems & other loud speakers is also for the religious & other social functions. He said that it is our moral duty to make a good & peaceful environment which will be helpful for our Childs. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that the prohibition on use of loud speakers & other noise polluting vehicles & gadgets has been imposed in the district, in accordance with the powers under section 144 of Civil Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act no. 2 of 1974) issued by Hon`ble Supreme Court of India vide CWP 72 Noise Pollution Appeal No. 3735 of Year 2006 S.L.P. (C) No. 2185/2003.
