Chandigarh 26th November:- LG Electronics India, today announced the winners of its first zonal round of its Pan-India cooking contest, LG Mallika-E-Kitchen 2014. The first North Zonal round was hosted in the vibrant city of Chandigarh at Hotel KLG Starlite. The Winners of the northern zone, Ms. Simran From Lucknow (Winner), Ms. Madhu Singh From Varanasi (2nd Runner-Up) and Ms Seema Aggarwal From Kota (3rd Runner Up) now complete with contestants of other zones for the title of Mallika-E-Kitchen Cooking Queen 2014 at the Grand Finale in New Delhi on December 12, 2014.
Aimed to encourage and educate Indian women to adopt smart and healthy microwave cooking, this year the campaign reached thousands of participants in around 62 cities across India. The cooking contest has been conceptualized to provide an opportunity to Indian women to showcase their cooking talent at a national level.
Speaking on the occasion, Lokendra Lal – Regional Manager, North Region, LG India said that they are pleased to successfully complete the Zonal round of LG Mallika-e-Kitchen 2014 and proceed on to the Grand Finale. Mallika-e-Kitchen is an endeavor to promote healthy cooking talents in India. This contest gives an opportunity to directly reach out to consumers and get feedback and suggestions for future innovations. He further added that this platform provides opportunity to amateur cooking talents of India, to showcase their skills. The phenomenal response received over the last 5 years for this campaign has encouraged us to bring out technologies for our consumers based on the insights garnered through this platform. He added that winners of this round will now now complete with contestants of other zones for the title of Mallika-E-Kitchen Cooking Queen 2014 at the Grand Finale in New Delhi on December 12, 2014. LG will select 3 winners from the entire 4 zone. That means 12 contestants from pan india will compete with each other in Grand Finale.
