Chandigarh 15th November:- To make the children aware of personal cleanliness and to keep their surrounding clean, Kinder pillar Ivy League School organized a cleanliness drive under the title Cleanliness is next to Godliness. The little ones with their mops and dusters made their class room spick and span. The school ground was also cleaned and the litter was put in the dustbin. Students were motivated to plant and care trees to keep the surrounding neat and clean and also gave the massage of manual work than use of fully automatic machines to save the environment. They were also taught to spread this awareness amongst their family members and friends and later took pledge to keep surroundings clean, green and healthy.
While speaking at the moment, Director, Sukhmeet Grewal said that it is a necessity to educate the children to keep the environment clean and personal hygiene which will protect them from germs and disease, besides such will help them to move forward for a healthy tomorrow and responsible citizens. He further added that to be meaningful, education cannot be one-dimensional. Holistic education should cover all aspects of human behaviour. It is very necessary to help children imbibe habit of cleanliness at an early age.
