CGC, Jhanjeri Hold Declamation Contest on Unity In Diversity

Mohali 01st November:- Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri organized a declamation contest on Unity In Diversity  dedicated to  birth anniversary of Sardar Patel observed as National Unity Day in the country. A large number of students of Management, Engineering, Commerce, Computer Applications & B.Sc. (Agriculture) participated in this competition. Students spoke about the people belonging to different religious, speaking more than 1600 languages & belonging to 6400 castes, yet living in harmony like a single family. All of us celebrates about 30 festivals of North, South, East & West and take active part in the religious & social activities of each other, thereby giving a feeling of complete unity & cohesion in the entire society. The first, second & third prizes winners were Nagma Sheikh, MBA 1st Sem, Asha (B.Sc.) Agriculture 1st Sem & Aanchal (B.Com) 1st Semester respectively.

Speaking on the occasion Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said that it was S. Patel who united more than 500 states into a single powerful county i.e. India. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General reminded that it was under Sardar Patel's leadership that movements like complete Independence for India & Quit India were started.
