Chandigarh 15th October:- In continuity of "Swacch Bharat Abhiyan" the area falling under Sector 34 & 35 was cleared from garbage, horticulture waste, malba and other waste materials today.Extra manpower and machinery i.e. road Sweeping machines, Dumper placers, Front End loaders and Tractor Trolleys were deployed to make the area free of garbage. Seven tractor trolleys were deployed and each tractor trolley made three trips to the Dumping Ground. The polythenes, scattered papers and other rags were also picked up by using specially made pokers. All the open spaces and parks were cleaned. The shop keepers and public were instructed to maintain cleanliness around their shops and habitat areas so as to prevent the attraction of stray dogs and other communicable diseases.
