Chandigarh 01st September:- The enforcement wing of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today removed encroachments from Motor Market in Manimajra and adjoining area of the Market. During the drive 164 encroachers have been issued challans.
The enforcement team removed and seized 164 mechanic tool Boxes, which were fixed with cement unauthorized on. In addition to that chaises of vehicles, pulleys, oxygen cylinders, Gas tankis, hydraulic jacks used in repairing vehicles etc were removed and seized. Total 24 truck load items were removed and seized from the area. The drive was carried peacefully early in the morning at 5.30 a.m. under the supervision of Dr. Sarita Malik, Joint Commissioner, she was also duty magistrate during the drive. Inspectors of Enforcement inspector wing of Municipal Corporation with the help of 100 labour and from engineering wing of MC removed the fixed tool boxes with the help of JCB machines and cranes. The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh conducted the drive on the request of UT Electricity department, in which they stated that the mechanics had fixed their tool boxes under the 11KV high tension electricity wire, which may pose danger to their lives during the working hours.
