Student of AIHM Gets First Position in “World Skills Competition” of Confectionery/ Pastry

Chandigarh 21st August:- Virat Seth, student of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition,has been awarded First Prize in "World Skills Competition of Confectionery and Pastry Making" in northern region on 6th August held at Oberoi Center of Learning and  Development(OCLD), New Delhi.

 

The Competition was organized by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation) in association with Oberoi Center of Learning and Development in New Delhi. The competition was divided into four modules i.e. Marzipan Modeling, Plated Dessert, Entremets and Chocolates (Filled, piped and layered). Divine Mango fills, Citrus Blast, Red Apple kakawa and Dark Fantasy Cake were among the delicacies prepared by the student. The student will now compete for "World Skills India finals" and later the finals will held at Saopaolo, Brazil.

The Principal of the Institute, Mrs. Bharti Tyagi said that it gives us immense pleasure to see students bringing eminence to the institute. The facilities and the professional ambience provided by the institute give students ample exposure to perform at national level. The faculty and the staff continuously work to give individual attention so that the students can outshine and excel. Also, winning isn't everything, but the will to participate is everything.
