Mohali 12th August:--Market welfare Association of phase 3 B submitted memorandum to the DC of Mohali for facing harassments from the MC officials.
While giving information about the memorandum submitted to the DC, spokesperson of the Association said that they are into Commercial business since many years in the Mohali & during all these years they are been running their business with utmost sincerity & legality, but from the last One year & specially from last few days we are being harassed by MC officials as our festivals season has just started and they have to install some stalls outside our shops. But in last couple of days the MC officials have flatly refused them for the same & rather sent us a notice mentioning a fine upto Rs. 10,000/- approx. Whereas they were already to pay for the same which they were already paying the fees from last many years but instead to harass & to create loss to their business they have imposed illegal fine for the same. Therefore they requested the DC that the notice sent by MC should be called back & they should be allowed to run their business legally only in festival season as in Chandigarh also it is allowed & in past many years they are regularly paying taxes etc.
