Startup 3 Days Weekend Programme Culminates

Chandigarh 28th July:- The three-days Startup Weekend programme which were organised by Startup Accelerator Chamber of Commerce (SACC) and the Chandigarh Administration's Department of IT at Entrepreneur Development Centre (EDC) Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park culminated here today. From amongst the 89 participants who came up with their own ideas, 15 were shortlisted finally and the teams were formed accordingly to further develop their business plans which were judged by a panel of jury comprising Sofi Zahoor, Senior Director HR of Quark Media, Atul Gupta of Red Alkemi, and Sameer Guglani of Morpheus.  David Lilliott, Deputy High Commissioner of UK was the chief guest, gave away the prizes to the top three teams. Charanjit Singh Kalra and his team who presented the EzzeSpray idea that reduced the consumption of pesticides protected the farmer from pesticide fumes. First runnersup were Hyonize and Team4U won the third prize.

  1. ISO 22000 is one of the highest marks of safety. It isn’t easy to get this mark. One needs to be able to showcase that they can handle obstacles that shall cause the food to spoil and manufacture it in such way that it is absolutely safe for consuming. Unless, this is proved, a firm cannot get the ISO 22000 mark.
