Chandigarh 14th May:-- A Gold based Jewellery range with an Italian Technology -- 'Metal Orafa' a jewellery brand was launched today at Santushti Jewels, Sec 19, Chandigarh. The upper layer of the ornaments in the range is made by 22 per cent Gold of 22 karat purity while the inner part -- 78 per cent, contains alloy metal. This makes the prices about 4 times cheaper than Gold, but the perceived value of products is as good as pure gold jewellery. Derewala, a famous Jaipur based jewellery manufacturer, has patented the Italian technology. To coincide with the launch, an Exhibition of the Metal Orafa range has also been organized to make people aware of this new product. In this a wide array of chains, necklace sets, mangal sutras, pendent sets, bangles, bracelets, tops and rings have been, displayed. The exhibition is on till Sunday 18 May 2014 at Santushti, SCO 41(First Floor), Sector 19-D, Chandigarh.

While talking to the media Abhijit Joshi, National Sales Head (Brand- Metal Orafa), Derewala Jewellery, said that now, one will be able to fulfill his or her desire to buy heavy weight Gold chains on budgeted prices. You can add variety to your collection by buying 4 Gold chains at the cost of one. With Metal Orafa- the look and feel is just like 100%- Gold Jewellery. What's more, there is a solid buy back policy and Quality assurance is, given, through a warranty card." Not only chains, multiple products of Metal Orafa are available in the form of pendants, tops, bangles, bracelets et al. The other advantage is that one has complete peace of mind due to lower prices – now one can wear heavy weight Gold chains on daily basis instead of keeping these in lockers.  He further announced that Santushti Jewels will be the authorized distributors of this product in the region.

According to Ashish Bansal, MD, BSA Jewels, which owns the Santushti brand, that the range should not be mixed with or compared to artificial or imitation jewellery. Imitation jewellery has nil value since it has no gold content and therefore no buy back provision or guarantee. It is also impacted adversely by soap, shampoo, deodorants etc. In case of Metal Orafa, there is 22 per cent Gold content and the same can be worn daily. Wherever Rubies & Emeralds are used on the chains they are original and the Diamonds used are American–Diamonds.
