Lawrance School Celebrates Founders Day

Chandigarh 11th April:-- The Lawrance Public Senior Secondary School,
Mohali celebrated its 30th Founder's Day along with Baisakhi &
founders day. Students from all classes who had award in study &
sports were also honored with gold, silver and bronze medals at this
occasion.
The programme starts with the lighting of the lamp by Veena Malhotra
the principal of the school followed by a hymn. Students of Class X
conducted the assembly and began with a short prayer. Children enacted
the Baisakhi scene on the stage. Hasya Kavi Samelan make all students
to laugh at the moment. Western Dance by students was main attraction
at the moment. The programme concluded with Bhagra a celebration which
is symbol of Baisakhi, the harvest season. A stage show was also
enacted related to B. R. Ambedkar, the chairman of the Drafting
Committee.
The principal of school Veena Malhotra applauded the children for
their great work & awarded medals and certificate for their academic
performance for the year 2013. She congratulated the teacher for the
efforts put in to help Laweranceans to complete successful 30 year and
said that Baisakhi in India is an occasion of dancing, singing, music,
wearing of festive garments and religious praise.
