Chandigarh 22nd April:-- Hallmark School, Panchkula celebrated World
Earth Day today in a befitting way. Is organic food better than the
food produced by conventional methods? The answer is –yes as per an
expert in the field Abhimanyu Singla- a revolutionary in Organic
Farming who held a symposium at Hallmark wherein he explained the
difference between chemical fertilizers & pesticides vs organic
fertilizers & pesticides.
Hallmark's Kalakaar Theatre Group organized a play highlighting how
chemical fertilizers and pesticides suffocate our Mother Earth and
Plant life; how all human beings get affected and become prone to
diseases in this vicious circle of chemical fertilizers getting into
our drinking water system and vegetables and fruits and its adverse
effect on our health. And how converting to ORGANIC agriculture can
help us to heal mother Earth and also in fighting global warming.
Mrs. Kavita Wadhwa, Principal, said that children took a pledge to
maintain their own kitchen gardens at their homes from now on. This
will result in healthier food and good health of the students and
their family members.
