Mohali 16th April:-- Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri's,
achieved another milestone, when their students of, B.Tech (CSE) 3rd
Semester captured eight out of first ten positions in Merit List of
Nov 2013 examinations held by PTU, Jalandhar.First six positions along
with the eighth & tenth positions in PTU's Merit Lists belong to CGC,
Jhanjeri. It is clean sweep by Jhaneri college in Computer Science &
Engineering discipline .It has been witnessed for the first time in
this more than 15 years old University. Two students of 3rd semester
B.Tech (Mech.) and one 3rd Semester (CSE) LEET student of this college
have also secured their positions in these Merit Lists. The
meritorious students of 3rd Semester B.Tech (CSE) include Lalit
Gakhar, first in PTU with 92.27% marks, Arzoo (Second with 92.0%),
Arzoo Gupta (Third, 91.6%), Palak Bansal (Fourth, 90.5%), Jaspreet
Kaur (Fifth, 90.4%), Shafid Asif (Sixth, 90.27%), Parvinder Kaur Asija
(Eighth, 89.6%), Bhupinder Singh (Tenth, 88.9%) and Aditi Sharma (CSE)
LEET student (Seventh, 84.15%). Two of Third Semester Mechanical Engg.
Students in these Merit Lists are Navdeep Singh (Second in PTU with
85.5%) and Jatinder Singh Kang (Ninth with 83.6% marks).
While speaking at the moment Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC
announced that the students who has secured first & second positions
in PTU will be awarded Laptops while all others in the Merit Lists of
PTU will be given a cash prize of Rs. 5000/- each.
Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General, CGC said that these results clearly
indicate the effect of top quality education being imparted by highly
intelligent and sharp faculty members. He revealed that the motto of
CGC, Jhanjeri about its students is Your Achievements, Our Pride and
Jhanjeri college will continue putting the best of efforts for the
all round growth of its students.
