Chandigarh 06th March:-- The 6th World Glaucoma Week is being observed worldwide between March 9-15, 2014. The Glaucoma Society of India, PGI Glaucoma Support Group, Advanced Eye Centre PGI, Chandigarh have joined hands to increase awareness of this Sneak Thief of Sight. During this period PGI is organizing glaucoma walk on March 9, 2014, at 8am, from Rock Garden to Suhkna Lake. There is a B-I-G brunch and glaucoma awareness camp at Hotel Mountview on the same day from 11am to 3pm. Participants will receive discounted food coupons as incentive to spread awareness. Glaucoma related talks will be aired on All India Radio and Doordarshan. On Saturday, March 15, 2014, a street play will be staged at Sector 17 plaza at 1pm to tell public about glaucoma and how it affects peoples lives.
