Chandigarh 06th March:-- PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) organized the first ever 2-day Taiwan Machinery Catalogue Show, 2014.
PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Director Dalip Sharma, said, that the main objective of this show is to promote business and trade in the field of machinery, to spur fruitful bilateral trade relations between both India and Taiwan. He further said that the show will create opportunities for industrial & technological transfer besides trade in machinery, in addition to providing information on latest, innovative, high precision and high technology machine tools for improving manufacturing efficiency, growth and development of MSMEs in India.
Echoing Sharma’s views, John Chen, Director, Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), said that Taiwan’s machinery export amount to India from 2013 Jan. to Dec. was more than 424 Million US dollars, ranked 10th among all Taiwan Machinery export. India has a prospering and rapidly growing economy, and as a result, an equally rapidly growing industry. The main goal of this Machinery Catalogue Show in India, said Chen, is to promote the one of the most globally competitive Taiwan machinery equipment and to find opportunities for industrial and technological transfer and trade between Taiwan and India. This machinery Catalogue Show consists of 9 main industrial/machinery categories viz Machine Tools, Food Processing Machinery, Packaging Machinery, Plastic & Rubber Machinery, Textile Machinery, Shoes & Leather Machinery, Woodworking Machinery, Machinery Parts, Industrial Machinery. Also, there are in total 100 companies that have provided the 9 main industrial/machinery categories above, he added.
