CII welcomes Infosys in Mohali :CII hails Sukhbir's Efforts To Get IT Giants in Punjab

Chandigarh 22nd February:-- Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has welcomed the laying down of foundation stone of Infosys’s biggest campus in India having capacity of 15,000 employees, here today in Mohali.

While sharing his views, jayant Davar, Chairman, CII Northern Region & Co-Chairman and Managing Director, Sandhar Technologies Ltd.said that CII is very elated on the laying down of foundation stone of Infosys’s campus in Mohali. This would help generate a lot of employment in Punjab and boost the overall economy of the region. CII really appreciates Punjab Chief Minister, Sukhbir S Badal’s aggressive campaign and efforts to attract investments in Punjab.

 He further added that CII is glad that its efforts to get Infosys here like facilitating a meeting between the Punjab Chief Minister with Dr Narayan Murthy, Chairman, Infosys and S Gopalakrishnan, Executive Vice Chairman, Infosys & CII President earlier in Bangalore, have fructified in such a short span of time. CII is committed to provide all possible support to the government in its efforts to attract investment in Punjab in future too.

D L Sharma, Chairman, CII Punjab State Council & Director Vardhman Textiles Ltd shared that CII heartily welcomes Infosys in Punjab. Its coming here is a good sign as it will open new vistas for development of Punjab as an economy. This would revolve and boost the economy of the state positively. Further, other service sectors like Hospitality, Tourism, infrastructure and banking etc will also get a boost.
