5 Days MDP Concludes at CGC Jhanjeri

Mohali 05th February:-- The 5 days Management Development Program concluded at Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri. The program was of Govt. of India’s Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) to encourage students to open their own business.

Director MSME, S.S. Dhillon explained various incentives offered by the Govt. of India to Micro, Small & Medium entrepreneurs.  S.S.Dhillon informed that an enterprise is termed as Micro, Small or Medium when the investment on plant & machinery is upto 25 Lakhs, 5 Crore & above 5 Crore respectively. He said that under cluster Development Programme a group of 30 units could combine to form a “Cluster”, Such a cluster is eligible for a grant of up to Rs. 25.25 Crore with only 10% investment from the concerned Micro industrialists & remaining 90% from Govt. of India.

While speaking on the occasion, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that the vision of CGC, Jhanjeri is to impart not quantity but quality education to its students to make them independent citizen of future. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General CGC said that the most essential requirement for an entrepreneur is not the money but a passion to reached the enviable position , furthermore  this information about micro entrepreneurs will help students in starting their own venture after they pass out.
