Chandigarh 24th January:-- On the need for conservation of sources of energy, a workshop was organised by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation .Ltd (HPCL) for young students of The British School, Chandigarh in the school's campus. Giving a helping hand to this National noble cause as many as 100 students of the school displayed their creative skills by participating in a Drawing & Painting competition which was themed on conservation and environment protection. The aim of the workshop was to create mass awareness, mainly among the future citizens of the country – school students, for conservation of Oil and Gas and protection of the environment. This annual Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight celebration for the current year -2014 is being celebrated from 16 Jan to 31 Jan 2014 by State Level Coordinator, U.T. Chandigarh.
According to Ms. Mona Shri Sethi, Principal, The British school, Chandigarh, said that all the teachers of the school participated in the slogan Writing contest. The enthusiasm & zeal of the participants was worth seeing.
