Lawrence School Students Celebrate Diwali With Great Fervour

Mohali 01st November: ------ The students of Lawrence Public School today celebrated Diwali with great pomp & show. At the moment the school was decorated tastefully and the function began with Rama returning from exile followed by Group dance of the student's .Later, a skit was showcased by students to show how children wait for Diwali and demands gift from their parents. Then  Goddess Lakshmi was also worshiped at the moment by the students and the staff .At the last, a small skit depicting how bursting of cracker polluting the environment and  hazarder to old people and animals to advise students to have a happy and safe Diwali.

While speaking at the moment Principal Veena Malhotra of the school said that It is the darkest night which is celebrated with lights to signifies the triumph of good over evil, of righteousness over treachery,  and of light over darkness.She further advised students to decorate their home with lights  because these simple rituals of Diwali have a significance of  the attainment of health, wealth, knowledge, peace and prosperity.
