Chandigarh 25th October: --- The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh has started sale of prepaid coupons to people desirous of setting up temporary stalls on Diwali, 2013. These coupons will be issued at the Municipal Corporation Office and Sub office, Manimajra from October 25 to October 31, 2013. For Manimajra and Mauli Jagran, the coupons will be issued at Sub office, Manimajra.
According to official spokesperson of the Municipal Corporation no coupons will be issued for sale in circus ground, sector 17, Nehru Park Sector 22, Exhibition Ground Sector 34, Polyclinic and area around Kiran Cinema, Sector 22, Chandigarh. The timing of issue of coupons shall be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on these days. The coupons shall be issued on first come first serve basis. Terms and conditions of setting up such a stall shall be as printed on the coupon and put up at the notice board. Any one desirous of setting up a stall should get the coupon issued. No coupons will be issued after the last date i.e. October 31, 2013 and money will have to be paid in advance. Anyone found to have set up a stall without a coupon, shall be charged double the rate applicable. For convenience of public, sufficient stalls have been set up at the Corporation Office Chandigarh and one stall at Sub Office, Manimajra for issue of these coupons. A.K. Dadwal, SDE Booking informed that this time Municipal Corporation took some security measures and regarding this the coupon will be issued after submission of attested photocopies of photo ID either a copy of Voter card or Aadhaar Card.
