Chandigarh 27th October:--Chandigarh Treasure League 2(CTL 2) got off to a roaring start from Chandigarh Club. There was about 250 participants, lined up in their four wheelers and put on the ignition of the over 50 cars, that took part in what's Chandigarh's original clue based hunt for treasure, adventure. Every car had a team of 2-4 people who enthusiastically came out on a sleepy Sunday, to put to test their knowledge of 'City Beautiful' and have some real good time. The winning team got a cash prize worth Rs. 15000. The first runner up took away a prize of Rs 10,000 while the second runner up became richer by Rs 7500. There were 7 consolation awards too. The group that organized CTL is a motley collection of dynamic young girls and boys who by and large have already started on the route to entrepreneurship. A briefing and a clue were given to participants before flag off.
The Treasure hunt was a fun event which presented ample opportunity of brainstorming to solve Clues challenging one's knowledge about Chandigarh. There were about 14 stopovers and at each point one had to crack the clue about Chandigarh and reach the next destination. Whoever did this the fastest became the winner of the treasure – which actually was a cash prize of Rs 15000. 35 Marshals were pressed into service to make the hunt a smooth-affair.
According to Ankush Arora, President, Chandigarh Treasure League, that their organization is a Not-For-Profit-Outfit. We recruit youth & enable them to channelize their time and talent in the best and most effective manner. We at CTL believe in doing well for all in society. Ankush added that the idea is to make youth and residents use their abilities of logic and deduction to successfully complete the hunt. Mishika Chaudhary, Vice President, CTL, said that every year our team of youngsters strives to organize a well orchestrated event so that participants enjoy the drive, course, clues and all the excitement associated with it to the hilt.
