Chandigarh, 30th July:-- Human Rights Protection Forum today demanded the Re-Open of the Death Case as Suspected Murder Case of Manav Garg, age-21 years, S/O Ramesh Garg, R/O # 3325/2, Sector-45-D,Chandigarh,founded by Sector-31, Chd Police on 11-02-2012.
While speaking to the Media in a Press Conference in Chanigarh Chairman of Human Rights Protection Forum Pushpa Salaria said that she alongwith her team investigated the case and found some arguable points to be suspected murder. They requested to the SSP-Chandigarh to Re-Open the case and mark to the Crime Branch but was kept pending for Forensic Report. Now as per Forensic Report, it has cleared that there was no intoxicating/drugs/capsules/alcohol in his lunge and liver. She added that whereas The Chandigarh Police had closed the file, without lodged any FIR, by disclosing the death due to heavy dose of drugs & Carisoma capsules when as the Postmortem Report was showing the death due to muddy-water stored in the lunge and nose etc. Final opinion was pending for Forensic Report.She said that now as per Forensic Report, it has cleared that there was no intoxicating/drugs/capsules/alcohol in his lunge and liver. The final report indicates the death due to drowning. She said that the Investigation Officer, S.I. Randhir Singh of Sector-31, Police Station, was looked in so hurry to close the case. He gave statement before Press & Media on 11-02-2012 that there was no medicine recovered from Manav's pocket but on the very next day 12/2/12 he has pointed out the recovery of Carisoma Capsul from Manav's pocket after having statements of all suspected accused. He even has not tried to cross examine the students with Agent of Carisoma Capsul supplier, Dean of Chitkara with students, not with other friends of Manav Garg. The IO of the case has closed this file without having proper Investigation.
She alongwith the parents of Manav Garg requested the SSP-Chandigarh that now as per forensic Report kindly Re-Investigate the case through Crime Branch and lodge an FIR U/S 302 & 120-B of IPC with other applicable Sections of IPC against the accesed after proper investigation.
