Chandigarh Administration celebrating World Population Day on 11th July: “Small Family-Happy Family”, will be Themee

Chandigarh 10^th July: --- Chandigarh Administration is celebrating World Population Day on 11^thJuly with the theme "Small Family-Happy Family", on this occasion Administration observing two fortnights (Mobilisation Fortnight and Stabilisation Fortnight).

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Administration said that Mobilisation Fortnight is being celebrated from 27^thJune to 10^thJuly for creating awareness amongst the public regarding family planning and motivating them to adopt small family norms through health talks, counselling and by holding camps.

Whereas Stabilisation Fortnight from 11^thJuly to 24^thJuly will be celebrated through distribution of condoms, OCPs and conducting sterilisation procedures at all the delivery points regarding which NSV Camp will also be held on 11^thJuly in GMSH-16.The overall objective is to put emphasis on the importance of family planning and to reduce the consequent issues arising from the increasing population by making them aware of the hidden disaster of population explosion.
