To pay Homage to Uttrakhand Tragedy Victims MC to organise Bhajan Sandhya on 27th July

Chandigarh, 16th July: -- To pray for the victims of  Uttrakhand Tragedy, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has decided to organize a Bhajan Sandhya on 27^th July, and also to organize Teej festival on 10^th and 11^th August and 3 day inter college theater competition on one theme based in the first week of September. During the Meeting The committee members discussed to organizing of various programmes at large and decided that a Bhajan Sanddhya will be organized at Plaza, sector 17, Chandigarh on July 27 and renowned Bhajan singer will be called along with performing artists. The meembers were of the view that the bhajan sandhya will be to pray for the victims of Uttrakhand Tragedy.

The committee members also decided that this year the Teej festival will be celebrated on August 10^th and 11^th at the Shivalik Garden, Manimajra. The members ask the officers to explore possibilities regarding sponsorships for the Teej Festival and Expression of Interest be prepared in this regard. The committee members also decided to visit the venues of Bhajan Sandhya and Teej on 17^th July in the evening.

The committee further discussed to organise 3 days Inter college Theater competition in Tegore Theater, sector 18 in the first week of September. The members suggested that the competition should be based on one theme such as female feticide and against other social evil.

Other members who were present during the meeting including Dr. Amrit Tewari, Maj. D.S. Sandhu, Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Mr. Sat Parkash Aggarwal, Mr. Saurabh Joshi and concerned officers of the committee. Mr. Subhash Chawla, Mayor, MC Chandigarh was also present during the meeting
