Chandigarh, Dec.07, 2025:-चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम के सीनियर डिप्टी मेयर जसबीर सिंह बंटी ने आज कजोली वाटर वर्क्स का अचानक निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने फेस-3 और फेस-4 में जाकर वहां स्थापित सभी प्रकार की मशीनरी, पंपिंग सिस्टम एवं संचालन व्यवस्था का विस्तृत निरीक्षण किया। निरीक्षण के दौरान उन्होंने यह भी पाया कि परिसर के बाहर नगर निगम का काफी मात्रा में स्क्रैप पड़ा हुआ है, जिस पर तुरंत संज्ञान लेने की आवश्यकता है।

मुलाजिमों ने जानकारी दी कि फेस-1 और फेस-2 का संचालन पंजाब के कर्मचारी संभालते हैं, जबकि फेस-3 और फेस-4 का संचालन चंडीगढ़ नगर निगम के कर्मचारी देखते हैं। फेस-3 और फेस-4 से पानी सीधे सेक्टर-39 वाटर वर्क्स में सप्लाई किया जाता है। कर्मचारियों ने यह भी बताया कि चारों फेज वर्ष 1983 से 2004 के बीच स्थापित किए गए थे।

मुलाजिमों ने बताया कि यहां लगी मशीनरी 24 घंटे लगातार चलती है और केवल बिजली जाने की स्थिति में ही बंद होती है। चूंकि यहां एचटी लाइन बिछी हुई है, इसलिए बिजली कटौती बहुत कम होती है।

निरीक्षण के उपरांत सीनियर डिप्टी मेयर बंटी ने कहा कि मशीनरी वर्तमान में सही तरह से काम कर रही है, लेकिन इनका लंबा समय हो जाने के कारण नियमित और समुचित मेंटेनेंस अनिवार्य है। इसके साथ ही 66 केवी और 11 केवी के ट्रांसफॉर्मर, एचटी-एलटी पैनल तथा फेस-3 और फेस-4 की वह पाइपलाइन, जिससे पानी चंडीगढ़ पहुंच रहा है, अब अत्यधिक पुरानी हो चुकी है और उसे जल्द बदलने की आवश्यकता है, ताकि शहरवासियों को लगातार स्वच्छ व पर्याप्त पानी उपलब्ध हो सके।

उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि किसी भी आपात स्थिति में यदि बिजली कट जाए तो पानी की सप्लाई बाधित न हो, इसके लिए यहां पर मजबूत जनरेटर बैकअप की व्यवस्था किया जाना अत्यंत आवश्यक है।

Mohali, Dec.07, 2025:-CGC University, Mohali, successfully conducted an eight-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) in collaboration with the UGC–Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. The virtual program, titled "NEP 2020 Orientation and Sensitization Program," witnessed participation from over 109 faculty members, researchers, and educationists from across the country.

The program began with an inaugural session addressed by Dr. Shalini Kashmiriya, Assistant Director, MMTTC Shimla, who highlighted the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and appreciated CGC University's efforts.
In the keynote address, Prof. (Dr.) Desh Raj Thakur, Director, MMTTC & Senior Professor, HPU Shimla, elaborated on the policy's core pillars, including competency-based education, inclusivity, and modern teaching-learning practices.

Throughout the eight days, eminent speakers such as Dr. Sabu K. Thomas (UGC–MMTTC, Calicut University), Dr. Pankaj Sharma (NITTTR Chandigarh), and Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (MRSPTU Bathinda) delivered insightful sessions.

The discussions focused on aligning institutional practices with NEP 2020, promoting interdisciplinary learning, strengthening academic leadership, understanding the scientific dimensions of Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), research design, hypothesis formulation, and developing competencies in the evolving higher education landscape.

These sessions broadened faculty perspectives and equipped them with practical insights, teaching strategies, and policy-level understanding. The program enabled faculty members to reinterpret NEP 2020 into actionable steps, encouraging flexibility, creativity, and learner-centric approaches in academic practices.

Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director, CGC University, said that Implementing NEP 2020 remains our top priority. This FDP has been a milestone in helping our faculty understand the policy in greater depth. We believe that a learner-centric education system is essential for nurturing future innovators.

The valedictory address was delivered by Prof. Preeti Jain, Director, UGC–MMTTC, Kurukshetra University, who emphasized inclusive education, learner diversity, and experiential, blended, and problem-based learning.
Dr. Navdeep Sharma, Associate Professor and Course Coordinator, expressed gratitude to all resource persons and participating institutions.

Chandigarh, Dec.07, 2025:- चंडीगढ़ कॉलोनी टेनामेंट्स वेलफेयर फेडरेशन द्वारा विभिन्न कॉलोनियों में मालिकाना हक के मुद्दे को लेकर बैठक आयोजित की गईं। इन बैठकों में बापू धाम कॉलोनी सेक्टर 3 2, टेनामेंट्स, रामदरबार कॉलोनी के लोगो को जागरूक किया गया। इस अवसर पर प्रमुख समिति सदस्य और नेता उपस्थित रहे। जिनमें पूर्व मेयर कमलेश बनारसी दास, मोहम्मद सादिक, सरोज शर्मा, किशन लाल अरोड़ा, डॉ. वर्मा, जतिंदर भाटिया, रानो सोनिया, बी एन दास, राजिंदर नानू, विक्टर सिद्धू, जेड पी खान और अकबर आदि प्रमुख थे।उपस्थित लोगों ने बताया कि वे 70 वर्षों से चंडीगढ़ के निवासी हैं। यहां वे लगभग 20 वर्षों तक मात्र ₹1.50 किराए पर रहे। वर्ष 1975 और 1979 में उन्हें उजाड़ कर विभिन्न कॉलोनियों में बसाया गया। प्रारंभ में टेनामेंट के लिए ₹30 और खाली प्लॉट के लिए ₹10 किराया लिया गया। 1979 में हाउसिंग बोर्ड ने हाईर पर्चेज पर कीमतें ₹2700 से ₹7600 तक रखीं। 1985 में सेक्टर 29, 30, 32, 37, 38 और बापू धाम सहित अन्य टेनामेंट्स की कीमत ₹12,000 से ₹21,000 रखी गई।फेडरेशन ने प्रशासन को चेतावनी दी है कि यदि नई कीमतें लागू की गईं, तो सभी कॉलोनियों के निवासी अपने घर और छत बचाने के लिए आंदोलन में हिस्सा लेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि इस शहर को बसाने में हजारों बुजुर्गों ने प्राण-तपस्या की है। कई लोग सीवर लाइन की खुदाई में शहीद हुए, कई इमारत निर्माण के दौरान हादसे में जान गंवाई। यह शहर उनके खून-पसीने से बना है और इसे सुंदर बनाए रखने में उनका बड़ा योगदान है।अंत में फेडरेशन ने प्रशासन से सौहार्दपूर्ण संवाद और सहयोग की अपील की है, अन्यथा वे मजबूरन आंदोलन करने को विवश होंगे।

Madhya Pradesh Beat Chandigarh by seven Wickets

Chandigarh, Dec.06, 2025:-Madhya Pradesh registered a commanding seven-wicket victory over Chandigarh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite match played at JU Second Campus, Salt Lake, Kolkata on Saturday.

Opting to field first, Madhya Pradesh restricted Chandigarh to 134/8 in 20 overs. Chandigarh struggled early by losing three wickets inside four overs before opener Manan Vohra steadied the innings with a well-compiled 52 off 43 balls. This was Manan's fourth half century in the tournament. A late surge from Sanyam Saini who smashed 33 off 19 helped Chandigarh post a competitive total. Mohd Arshad Khan (6/9) took six wickets for MP who later awarded Man of the Match.

In reply, Madhya Pradesh chased down the target emphatically in 14 overs by finishing at 135/3. Wicketkeeper-batter Harsh Gawali smashed unbeaten 74 off 40 balls while Harpreet Singh Bhatia supported with a brisk 48 off 30 deliveries.

Chandigarh, Dec.06, 2025:-गोवा के ताज विवांता में हाल ही में आयोजित मिसेज़ सुप्रानैशनल 2025 प्रतियोगिता में भारत के लिए पहला रनर-अप खिताब जीतकर इतिहास रचने वाली नवदीप कौर का कहना है कि यदि मन में कुछ बड़ा करने का जज़्बा हो, तो मंज़िल अवश्य मिलती है। पत्रकारों से बातचीत में उन्होंने बताया कि जीवन में अनेक चुनौतियों का सामना करने के बावजूद उन्होंने अपने जुनून को कभी कम नहीं होने दिया।

नवदीप कौर का जन्म एक सैन्य परिवार में हुआ, जिसके चलते उन्हें भारत के विभिन्न हिस्सों में रहने का अवसर मिला। बाद में वे पंजाब पहुंचीं और यहाँ ड्रग कंट्रोल ऑफिसर के पद पर कार्यरत हुईं। उन्होंने बताया कि बचपन से ही उन्हें कला, चित्रकला और अकादमिक प्रतियोगिताओं में राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पुरस्कार मिले। वे भारत सरकार द्वारा बाला चित्र रत्न पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित हो चुकी हैं। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय ओलंपियाड और यूनेस्को परीक्षाओं में भी उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया।

स्कूली शिक्षा के दौरान वे स्काउट्स और गाइड्स की कप्तान रहीं और पूर्वोत्तर भारत स्तर पर पहला पुरस्कार जीता। मात्र छह वर्ष की आयु से उनका डांस की दुनिया से जुड़ाव हुआ और बाद में वे ऑल इंडिया रेडियो की सबसे कम उम्र की आरजे बनीं। कॉलेज के दौरान वे पहली बार गुजरात से पंजाब आईं ताकि पंजाबी संस्कृति को सीख सकें, जिससे उनके जीवन को नई दिशा मिली।

नौकरी के साथ-साथ उन्होंने डांस और फैशन को कभी अपने से दूर नहीं होने दिया। कलर्स और सोनी जैसे टीवी चैनलों पर भी उन्होंने कार्य किया। इसके अलावा, पंजाब सरकार द्वारा उन्हें चार बार सम्मानित किया जा चुका है।

नवदीप कौर ने बताया कि निजी जीवन में उतार-चढ़ाव, पति से अलगाव और छोटे बच्चे की जिम्मेदारी के बावजूद उन्होंने हार नहीं मानी। इसी दौरान रीढ़ की चोट की वजह से उन्हें लंबे समय तक बिस्तर पर रहना पड़ा, लेकिन उनका जज़्बा कभी कमजोर नहीं हुआ। इसी संकल्प की बदौलत उन्होंने मिसेज़ सुप्रानैशनल 2025 का खिताब जीता।

वे कई सामाजिक संस्थाओं,निरंजना फाउंडेशन, सप्त सिंधु आदि जुड़कर दिव्यांग बच्चों और विधवा महिलाओं के लिए कार्य करती रही हैं। हाल ही में आयोजित अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता में उन्होंने कमल के फूल वाला विशेष भारतीय परिधान पहनकर प्रस्तुति दी, जिसके लिए उन्हें न केवल फर्स्ट रनर-अप का स्थान मिला, बल्कि नेशनल कॉस्ट्यूम अवॉर्ड और मिसेज़ ग्लोबल एंबेसडर का सम्मान भी प्राप्त हुआ। उनके अनुसार, यह उपलब्धि हासिल करने वाली वे पहली भारतीय महिला हैं।

Panchkula, Dec.06, 2025:- पारस हेल्थ पंचकूला ने डिस्ट्रिक्ट बार एसोसिएशन, डेराबस्सी के साथ एक महत्वपूर्ण मेमोरेंडम ऑफ़ अंडरस्टैंडिंग (एमओयू) साइन किया है। इस नई साझेदारी के तहत लगभग 3,000 वकीलों को विशेष स्वास्थ्य सेवाएँ और रियायती इलाज उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा। इससे पहले पंजाब एवं हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट, डिस्ट्रिक्ट बार एसोसिएशन पंचकूला और कालका के साथ हुए समझौतों से 18,000 वकील लाभान्वित हो चुके हैं। नए एमओयू के साथ पारस हेल्थ अब कुल 21,000 से अधिक लीगल प्रोफेशनल्स को कवर करेगा।

समझौते के अंतर्गत पारस हेल्थ पंचकूला में ब्रेन और स्पाइन सर्जरी, जॉइंट रिप्लेसमेंट, कैंसर केयर, जनरल मेडिसिन, मैटरनिटी सेवाएँ, उन्नत डायग्नोस्टिक्स सहित कई विशिष्ट सुविधाओं पर विशेष लाभ मिलेंगे। हॉस्पिटल समय-समय पर बार एसोसिएशन के लिए फ्री मेडिकल चेक-अप कैंप भी आयोजित करेगा। यह कदम न केवल आसानी से उपलब्ध स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण है, बल्कि वकीलों के स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता को बढ़ाने की पहल भी है, जिन्हें अक्सर कार्य दबाव के कारण अपने स्वास्थ्य की अनदेखी करनी पड़ती है।

Workshop on Educators Role in Creating Awareness on Cyber Security held at Government College of Education

Chandigarh, Dec.05 2025, :-Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh, organized a workshop today on "Educators' Role in Creating Awareness on Cyber Security" under its Cyber Swachhata Mission Unit, led by Dr. Meena, Coordinator, Cyber Swachhata Mission Unit for GCE 20 Chandigarh. The programme was conducted under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sapna Nanda, who emphasized the importance of cyber awareness and digital responsibility among educators and students.

The introductory session was delivered by Maj. Dr. Gulshan Sharma (Retd.), Director General and Director, Finishing School – Service Industry, Chamber for Service Industry. He explained the purpose of the workshop and highlighted how rapidly evolving digital systems demand enhanced cyber awareness and proactive digital hygiene in educational environments.

The workshop also included expert resource persons from 7Infinity, a global consultancy bridging emerging technologies and strategic transformation with a focus on digital readiness and cybersecurity. Miss Preeti Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of 7Infinity, presented the programme layout and briefed participants on the structure of the sessions.

The technical session was led by Shamsheer Khan, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at 7 Infinity and Founder of FNCyber. Speaking on the theme "Know your defense, become a role model, protect your digital self," he highlighted rising cyber threats, including AI-driven attacks, bot traffic, and fast-evolving malware. He explained that cyber laws and enforcement operate differently in cyberspace, making awareness the most powerful "survival kit."

Shamsheer Khan guided participants on essential device-safety practices, including checking microphone permissions, app access controls, and other security settings. He explained common ways laptops, mobiles, and gadgets are hacked and highlighted everyday digital vulnerabilities. A key focus of his session was the Cyber Kill Chain, illustrating attacks across five stages: Observe → Lure → Collect → Trick → Impact. He emphasized reducing the cyberattack surface through simple habits, such as switching off mobile data and Internet when not in use, and discussed the evolution of cybersecurity and self-generating malware.

The workshop featured an interactive question–answer session, where students posed interesting questions related to cyber hygiene. To encourage engagement, students were awarded cash prizes of ₹500 for the best questions asked.

It was highlighted that 17 Cyber Interns are currently enrolled with the Chandigarh Cyber Crime Police Branch, and among them, Aanchal, Kumari Anjali, and Anuneha served as presenters, supporting demonstrations and assisting with awareness activities.

Approximately 80 participants, including faculty members, PGDGC students, and B.Ed students, attended the programme. In recognition of participation, certificates were distributed to students, including 10 PGDGC students and 54 B.Ed students.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dean, Dr. A. K. Srivastava, who appreciated the contributions of all resource persons, the Cyber Swachhata Mission Unit, and the enthusiastic participation of students in promoting a culture of cyber safety.

Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta Meets Defence Minister Rajnath Singh

Chandigarh, Dec.05, 2025:-Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta, Rajya Sabha MP, met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in the capital today. The meeting is being viewed as significant in the backdrop of current security concerns in Punjab.

During the high-level interaction, both leaders discussed the security challenges in Punjab and the strengthening role of the armed forces. Gupta underlined that Punjab's geographical location makes it highly sensitive from a national security perspective. He stressed the need for enhanced coordination between security agencies, adoption of modern surveillance systems, and further strengthening of border management.

Gupta also emphasized improving operational coordination between central security agencies and the Punjab Police. Responding to these concerns, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh assured that the central government remains committed to strengthening border security and maintaining law and order in sensitive states. He added that the deployment, monitoring systems, and use of advanced equipment by the armed forces in Punjab will be made more effective.

Following the meeting, Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta stated that maintaining peace and stability in Punjab is vital not only for the state but also for the country's overall security. He expressed confidence that with coordinated efforts between the central and state governments, Punjab's security framework will become stronger, fostering greater trust and a sense of stability among citizens.

Given the current developments in Punjab, the meeting holds substantial importance. Both sides agreed on enhancing the effectiveness of the armed forces to ensure the safety and security of the state and the nation.

Chandigarh, Dec.05, 2025:-चंडीगढ़ तमिल संगम ने आज अपने वार्षिक सामाजिक कल्याण अभियान "उष्मा बाँटने का उत्सव" का आयोजन किया, जो उन अनसुने नायकों को समर्पित है जो सिटी ब्यूटीफुल को स्वच्छ, सम्मानजनक और जीवंत बनाए रखते हैं। चंडीगढ़ के 250 से अधिक हाउसकीपिंग कर्मचारियों को स्वच्छता में उनके अमूल्य योगदान और शहर को देशभर में स्वच्छता का मॉडल बनाए रखने के लिए सम्मानित किया गया।

पहले लीग मैच में सी.डब्ल्यू.एन. क्रिकेट अकादमी, पीरमुचल्ला ने टी.डी.एल. स्टेडियम जायंट्स, पंचकूला टीम को 6 विकेट से हराया।  युवा प्रतिभाशाली लड़की खिलाड़ी खुशी छिल्लर ने शानदार 87 नाबाद रन बनाए और उन्हें मैच की सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी घोषित किया गया। पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए टीडीएल, स्टेडियम, जायंट्स, पंचकूला ने 30 ओवर में 6 विकेट के नुकसान पर 202 रन बनाए। अमन डोरा ने नाबाद 58 रन बनाए, रेहान कोहली ने नाबाद 55 रन बनाए, लव राज ने 29 रन बनाए जबकि परम हर्ष ने 17 रन बनाए। गेंदबाजी की ओर से सी.डब्ल्यू.एन. अकादमी के गेंदबाज लखविंदर सिंह और मनराज सिंह दोनों ने 2-2 विकेट लिए। जवाब में सी.डब्ल्यू.एन. अकादमी, पीरमुछल्ला ने 28.5 ओवर में 4 विकेट के नुकसान पर 206 रन का लक्ष्य हासिल कर लिया। खुशी छिल्लर ने सबसे ज्यादा 87 नाबाद रन बनाए, सरल सेठ ने नाबाद 40 रन बनाए और अनीश ने 19 रन बनाए। गेंदबाजी की ओर से अमन डोरा, माधव और विराट सभी ने 2-2 विकेट लिए।

BHIM Payments App Launches New Features in CY 25: Accelerating Everyday Digital Payments Adoption Across India

Chandigarh, Dec.03, 2025:-BHIM Payments App, developed by NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), has introduced eight new features in CY25, strengthening user experience across everyday digital payments. The additions include UPI Circle, Split Expenses, Spends Analytics, Family Mode, UPI Lite Auto-Top Up, Forex Payments, Prepaid Recharge, and Rewards, aiming to make payments easier, secure, and more intuitive for users across India.

The enhancements come at a time when BHIM has recorded a 3X surge in monthly transactions between January and October 2025, marking continued growth in digital payment usage. Monthly transactions increased from 38.97 million in January 2025 to 135.90 million in October 2025, with transaction value touching ₹20,026 crore in October 2025.

While BHIM Payments App has traditionally been preferred for high-value transactions, the app is also seeing strong growth in small-ticket, high-frequency payments like groceries, medicines, fuel, public transport and more, highlighting rising consumer trust in its convenience and transaction speed. BHIM is also among the top preferred apps for IPO mandates, driven by a simple interface and reliability across high-value authentication flows.

Lalitha Nataraj, MD & CEO, NBSL said that BHIM Payments App is designed with the everyday Indian user at its centre. The new features focus on real usage, small-value transactions, shared expenses, budgeting and family needs, helping people transition to digital payments naturally. The growth we are witnessing across key markets, including northern regions like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh, reflects increasing trust in BHIM's reliability, security, and experience.

The introduction of Spends Analytics reflects a growing consumer need for built-in budgeting and financial insights within payments apps. The feature provides users a monthly snapshot of their BHIM spends, automatically categorised to help them track and plan more effectively. With UPI Lite Auto-Top Up, users can now ensure their Lite balance remains available without repeated manual reloads, enabling faster PIN-free payments for day-to-day purchases.

BHIM's feature set has also been built with inclusion at its core. The app supports 15+ regional languages including Punjabi and is optimised for low-connectivity environments, enabling deeper digital payments adoption across rural and semi-urban user groups. Reward-led adoption and merchant partnerships continue to build platform stickiness across new and existing user segments.

Feature Highlights

• UPI Circle: UPI Circle Full Delegation, which allows users to authorise trusted contacts to make UPI payments from their account within a predefined monthly spending limit of up to INR 15000 and an expiry duration of 5 years. Trusted users can make secure digital payment without needing their own bank linked UPI ID or bank account. This new feature enables smoother day-to-day digital payments among families, dependents, or staff while maintaining clear oversight of all transactions

• Split Expenses: Users can now split bills with friends and family seamlessly. Whether it's dining out, rent payments, or group purchases, the app allows users to divide expenses and make payments directly, ensuring hassle-free settlements.

• Family Mode: Users can now onboard family members, track shared expenses, and assign specific payments. This feature enables better financial planning by giving families a consolidated view of their expenses.

• Spends Analytics: The new dashboard offers an intuitive view of a user's monthly spending patterns for the spends done on BHIM Payments App. It automatically categorises expenses, helping users analyse and manage their budget without needing complex spreadsheets.

• UPI Lite Auto-Top Up: Users can turn on auto top-up feature and it will automatically recharge it whenever the balance falls below ₹200

• Forex Payments: Users can book forex effortlessly right on their BHIM app. They can compare markup prices across banks and pick the one they prefer. There is also an option to get it in the form of Cash & Digital Currency both. 

• Prepaid Recharge: BHIM Payments App offers prepaid recharge feature where users can make recharge for the number associated with the network operator. They can also recharge for their friends and family. Users need to choose the plan and simply complete the process on BHIM without any added or convenience charge. 

• Rewards: BHIM offers assured rewards on eligible transactions, encouraging users to adopt digital payments more confidently. The rewards experience is designed to make everyday payments simpler, engaging, and more value-driven for users.

Rajinder Gupta highlighted that there is delay in connecting Bhawanigarh and Malerkotla Exit & Entry points, despite the fact that work is near completion to connect it with Sangrur & Malerkotla Districts in State of Punjab.

Nitin Gadkari  told that he shall inspect the site along with Rajinder Gupta to ensure that Malerkotla is connected & functional by end of March, 2026 and remaining work shall be completed in next 3 months.

This road network shall give relief to lakhs of Citizens travelling in this area by reducing travel time & cost substantially.

Under her able guidance and leadership, the college achieved an A+ grade during the 3^rd phase of NAAC Assessment Cycle in 2024.

Dr. Nanda has received recognition for her meritorious contributions in the field of yoga, health and wellness including a State award from the Chandigarh Administration in 2021. She has also published numerous research papers and authored several books on Yoga, Health and Education and recently been received a Patent for an invention entitled: An Oral synergistic formulation for Management of Diabetes and related Complications in accordance with the provisions of the Patents Act, 1970.

थैलेसेमिक पेशेंट के लिए लगाए गए ब्लड डोनेशन कैम्प में 150 लोगों ने रक्तदान किया

Chandigarh, Dec.02, 2025:- साहेब 2 करम एसोसिएशन की ओर से ब्लड बैंक- पी जी आई और गुरुद्वारा मैनेजमेंट कमेटी शाहपुर सेक्टर 38 के सहयोग से थैलेसेमिक पेशेंट के लिए12वें रक्तदान शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। इसमें 150 से अधिक लोगों ने थैलेसेमिक पेशेंट की जान की रक्षा के लिए रक्तदान किया।

साहेब 2 करम एसोसिएशन के संचालक  कुलजीत सिंह मिंटू ने बताया कि उनके छोटे बेटे करम थैलेसेमिक थे। उनके बड़े बेटे साहेब ने अपने छोटे भाई करम को बोन मैरो डोनेट किया। बाबा जी की दया मेहर से करम अब पूरी तरह से रिकवर हो चुके हैं। बाबा जी का शुक्राना करते हुए वो पिछले 11 साल से रक्तदान शिविर लगाते आ रहे हैं और यह 12वां रक्तदान शिविर है। इसमें लोगों ने बढ़-चढ़कर साथ दिया एवं लगभग 250 से अधिक लोगों का पंजीकरण किया गया था, किंतु सिर्फ 150 लोग ही रक्तदान कर पाए। उन्होंने कहा कि रक्तदान महादान इसीलिए माना गया है कि, इससे किसी की जान बचाई जा सकती है। रक्तदान से रक्तदाता का कुछ नुकसान नही होता, बल्कि 3 महीने में यह स्वतः ही अपनी प्रक्रिया अनुसार तैयार हो जाता है।

By hosting both the workshop and the evening performances at Chitkara University, Spoken aimed to offer students meaningful exposure to artistic expression, helping shape the next generation of storytellers through immersive, firsthand experiences.

This vision came alive when two workshop participants, Lucky and Yuvraj, both students from Chitkara University - who discovered their talent for storytelling recently during the course of the workshops leading up to the event - opened the Spoken Evening with their own performances, symbolising the festival's commitment to nurturing a cycle of learning, expression, and opportunity.

Speaking about the initiative, Roshan Abbas said that a lot of our journeys begin in the classrooms and corridors of a campus. The entire idea is to empower and shape the next generation of storytellers. Young people are capable of becoming great artists if they just get a stage, a mentor, or the encouragement to speak up.

Adding her thoughts on hosting the festival at Chitkara University, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Pro-Chancellor, Chitkara University, said that at Chitkara University, we believe that creativity thrives when young minds are given platforms to express their ideas fearlessly. Hosting Spoken Fest on our campus aligns with our commitment to nurturing imagination, confidence, and artistic exploration among our students. It was inspiring to watch our learners perform alongside celebrated artists and witness storytelling in its most transformative form.

The evening continued with remarkable performances by some of the most admired artists in the spoken word and creative arts space, including Divya Dutta, Shweta Tripathi, Sriti Jha, Justh, Gurpreet Saini, and the cast of Kommune Special, 'Bohot Zor Se Pyaar Laga Hai'. Each artist brought a unique voice and presence to the stage, creating an intimate yet electric atmosphere that stayed true to the spirit of Spoken Fest—where art finds a home and audiences find community.

ਪੁਲੀਸ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਜਾਂ ਜੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।  ਰੋਪੜ ,ਨਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਡਿਪੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬਾਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। 900 ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਬੱਸਾਂ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੱਕੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਸੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੀ ਸਹਿਮਤੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਘਾਟਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਮਨੀਆਂ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਟਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਲਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

ਪਰਸੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਪੀ ਆਰ ਟੀ ਸੀ ਦੀ ਮੈਨਿਜਮੈਟ ਵਲੋਂ ਤੰਗ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਪੱਟੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੜਚਨਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੀ ਅੱਜ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ 1 ਵਜੇ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਖੋਲੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਸਮੂੰਹ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮ ਜੱਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ  ਨੂੰ ਮਿਤੀ 3-12-2025 ਨੂੰ ਲੁਧਿਆਣੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

Shamrock School Organizes Two-Day Senior Annual Athletic Meet

Mohali, Dec.01, 2025:-Shamrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, organized a two-day Annual Athletic Meet dedicated to its Founder's Day celebrations. Students up to Class XII from the school's four Houses Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, and Cambridge—participated in these two days, showcasing their sports talent.

The Chief Guests for the two days of the Annual Sports Meet were Major General Ajay Chauhan, Director of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, and Rajwinder Singh Bains, a renowned Advocate of the Supreme Court of India.

Over the two days, athletes fiercely competed in events like the 100m, 200m, 300m, 800m, 1000m races, and High Jump. Additionally, the Parents' Race, Teachers' Race, 4/100 Relay Race, Lemon Race, Three-Legged Race, and several other interesting games added excitement to the sports day.

The first day commenced with the March Past by the House contingents, heats for the races, and the 1500m final. School Principal Prineet Sohal welcomed all the guests. Rajwinder Singh Bains motivated the students by sharing examples of great sports personalities. Major General Chauhan lauded the efforts of the students and faculty for their magnificent display. Major General Chauhan also appreciated the faculty of Shamrock for providing excellent educational facilities to his cadets at the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute.

The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Shamrock Group of Schools Chairman Amarjit Singh Bajwa and Mrs. Parveen Bajwa, along with Managing Directors Karan Bajwa and Ritambra Bajwa.

The highlight of the Senior Annual Games was the announcement of the Overall Trophies for the Houses and the Best Athlete awards. In the Under-19 category, Vivek (Boys) and Jaanvi and Satkeerat (Girls) jointly won the Best Athlete Trophy. In the Under-17 category, Jasdeep Singh (Boys) and Sain and Jashandeep Kaur (Girls) jointly claimed the Best Athlete Trophy. In the Under-14 category, Gurnoor Singh and Amritbaani were declared the Best Athletes.

It was a brilliant day for the members of Harvard House as they clinched three trophies: the Best March Past Trophy, the Athletics Trophy, and the Overall Trophy (which combines points from athletics and team games held throughout the school year). It was a thrilling day for every Shamrockite, contributing to its great success.

On this occasion, Chairman A S Bajwa praised the outstanding performance by Shamrock students and encouraged them to participate in sports alongside their studies. Addressing the students, he stated that sports not only keep us fit but also inspire us to participate in all life's challenges, shaping us into good human beings.

The day concluded with Chairman A S Bajwa and Principal Prineet Sohal  giving away prizes to the winning students.
